Hello friends!! It's another Caturday and another shop my stash and post about something I've already worn because it's my blog and I do what I want day :) This is Zoya Charla. Original post here, if you please.
Charla's been one of my favorite Zoyas, well, since I first posted about it over a year ago. It's a perfect shade of mermaid teal, glassflecked jelly. There are many dupes and I don't know which one was the original or which are still around... this one is, though. I used three coats here. Charla is pretty much typical of all things wonderful about Zoya-- it dries quickly, practically applies itself, and that shimmery green to gold to sparkling teal finish... just ridiculously pretty. It's fantastic as a pedicure, too.
Aaand here is my adorable little dapper dude, my cuddle bug, my baby Beau, who really isn't much of a baby except in temperament.
Hello!
Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your weekend! ♥
Eeeee! First one to post a comment - for ONCE! hehehe It helps that apparently it's only been 4 mins since you posted this. ;-) This is a lovely polish, and you've showcased its beauty tremendously! :-D I ALMOST picked this up in a blog sale this week, but when I found out how many dupes there are (and read about major staining issues) I decided to pass. :-/ It is soooo lovely though! And gawwww, your baby Beau is CUUUUUTE!! I love seeing other peoples' pets.
ReplyDeleteI've never had any staining issue with this but it does leave a trail of shimmers in its wake and they're a sight pain in the kabonzo to remove. TOTALLY worth it, though, because it's really not that big of a deal, it's still easier to take off than any glitter, and it's SO DARNED PRETTY!!! So, I couldn't speak to the OPI and Orly dupes, but if you're concerned about staining, this one might be the way to go. ♥
DeleteMeh, shimmers don't bother me much...I like to SPARKLE! :P hehe Smurf skin though...that's another story. Speaking of removing glitters, I really think I'm gonna try that Elmer's glue under the base coat thing next time I wear some major indie glitter polish. This weekend, I happened to see what seems to be a pretty close & inexpensive dupe: Sinful Colors Kissy. And SC Nail Junkie is quite similar, just with bigger iridescent clear holo glitters. If you Google swatches of it, looks pretty perfect over navy blue for an uber easy galaxy nails look. :-D
DeleteI have this color ans its so beautiful! Totally reminds me of a mermaid too :)
ReplyDeleteYes :) Everything about this polish is sparkly magical ♥♥♥
DeleteThis color reminds me of Jesse's Girl Glee... love your swatches :)
ReplyDeleteOoh,there ya go, another dupe! I hadn't heard of that one. It's so nice when the prettiest colors are so easily accessible.
DeleteI'm wearing Charla on my toes right now! I love it. This looks beautiful on you, of course. I think I'm going to wear Gilda or Alegra today. I didn't realize I had that the whole Zoya Sparkle collection. I just ordered two of the Pixie Dust colors yesterday - have you tried them yet? Your kitty is adorable.
ReplyDeleteIt's so ridiculously pretty on toes! Mine are done in pale pink creme but I'm tempted to redo them, lol. Gilda ♥♥ I don't have that one but I think I need it. That whole collection is absolutely amazing. I was given a Pixie Dust... I've kind of held off on those because I'm so enamored with the OPI Bond Girls and I'm not sure just how many textureds I need, lol. I'm excited to see the fall Pixie Dusts, though, there's a jade green (or maybe that's its name?) that looks especially intriguing.
DeleteI've never seen this Zoya before and it's quite beautiful :) Your cat is adorable as well!
ReplyDeleteIsn't he cuuuuute? My Baby Beau :) Charla comes from one of THE BEST Zoya summer collections ever, imo, Sparkle from 2010. All complete and total stunners. ♥
DeleteWow, gorgeous colour! Your cat is a cutie:)
ReplyDeleteThank you :) He makes us laugh on a regular basis.
DeleteWhat a beautiful shade! Your photos are perfection. You are so awesome :)
ReplyDeleteNo, YOU are :)
DeleteAww look at that cutie! <3 Love this polish on you! I like that you have enough cool tones to really bring out the blue in this polish. Charla totally clashes with my warm skintone and somehow ends up looking predominantly green on me, which is sad cause the blue tones in it are so pretty. :)

I bet it's still gorgeous on you, and having said that, I bet Ivanka pulls more green on you, too. I adore that one, as well, but it pulls a little more aqua on me than I'd prefer since it's so vividly emerald in the bottle.
DeleteI don't have Ivanka yet because I thought it may be too cool of a green for me, but I think you're right. Hmm... might have to get it just to try it out. :)
DeleteThis is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just amazing? I love this polish so much, lol ;)
DeleteThis is so pretty! I love glassfleck polishes. Your pictures are getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteGlassflecks are amaaaaazing! And thank you so much, I'm pretty pleased with these :) It's all about playing with angles at this point. ♥
DeleteVery pretty! I got this color a while back but haven't used it yet, now I want to use it ASAP because of your photos!
ReplyDeleteYay! I promise you, it's even more amazing in real life. :)
DeleteOh wow... this color is stunning. I definitely need this one! :)
ReplyDeleteYep :) Totally a must-have ♥
Deletecharla is indeed an awesome color. i always want to buy dupes when i see them because they're so pretty even though i probably own several versions by now. and beau is adorable. love cute kitties.

I know it! I have the Essence dupe, as well, and I use that one on my toes so I can use Charla more freely on my fingers... seems totally silly, but there it is, lol. Charla's got the nicer formula of those two.
DeleteHi sis - in short AMAZEBALLS!!! I am so with you - this is an alltime stunner and as you put it so well in your first post "aqua goddess"!!! I tried hard to get a hold of it for months last year - after futile search (I wasn't yet so trained in polish-hunting ;-P) I went for Orly Haleys Comet!! And guess what - now it sits in my untrieds!!! Yeah, yeah shame on me and so on - LOL!!! Beau is so so cute - have a lovely start of the week xxx
ReplyDeleteI think those words are all yours! I wasn't nearly as eloquent-- "something magical from the sea" I think is how I put it, lol. It is a beauty and I'm excited for you to finally wear Haley's Comet ♥♥
Delete*Best pics of Charla EVER*!! Now, tell me again, why don't I have this one? Temporary insanity? Long-term insanity? I have Crystal...for some reason, I was thinking they were similar, but they are not. I love your baby...his name is great!! <3
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet ♥ And yep, Crystal's totally different! I think it's pretty similar to this season's Hazel but I don't have the latter to compare. Crystal's in my untrieds. So easy to get distracted in this hobby, lolol.
DeleteThis is one of my favorites from Zoya, it is ridiculously gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteIt is! Like, I've had my bottle sitting out for the last few days just so I can look at all the shimmers within, lol.
DeleteAmazingness in a bottle. I gotta use my charla more.
ReplyDeleteI think that every time I see a photo of it ♥
