Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Lapis Amethyst

Hi kids!!  Today's entry in the Prisms parade is another Christmas gift from C.  I can't even tell you how stoked I was to open this one.  Here's Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Lapis Amethyst.  I officially call this my birthstone polish, not because of the name, but because of the stone it resembles.

Lapis Amethyst is a stunningly beautiful slightly dusty aquamarine to pink duochrome metallic with light pink and blue shimmers.  It's not the strongest shifter, but the best thing about this polish isn't necessarily the shift.  It's the absolutely gorgeous shimmery gemcolored hue.  The tinge of pink on the edges is icing on the cake.
I used three coats of this.  My only complaint about this line is the dry time, and when you've got places to go and things to do, you need to pull out the big guns (aka Seche topcoat).  I've already got some tip shrinkage on a couple nails.  It seems Seche is not particularly fond of non Big 3-free polishes.
Lapis Amethyst is pretty readily available on amazon and ebay for a reasonable price.

Thanks for reading! ♥

    1. Aw, you are so sweet *blushes* I've never considered blue to be anywhere near my favorite polish color, but this one's sort of catapulted to the top of the ol' list, lol..

    1. I totally just deleted my original response! D: Anyhoo, it turns out this thing is much stronger irl, which is kind of wierd because you can barely see the shift in the bottle. This polish is off the hook. I know I said that originally, lool.

  7. Pretty! What is your birthstone? And how did "C" find all of these? Did he have a little help from you?

    1. My birthstone is aquamarine :) And he asked for a Christmas wishlist, so I pulled a bunch of stuff from amazon and let him choose, lol.

  9. I sooo wish SH would bring back this line and some of the shades in it - it was here before it's time - sat a lot on many shelves and then even had some struggle getting rid of it on close out - then wow - it was discovered and now many of us wish we had paid more attention! This one is a little on the frosty side for me but I like the shade - I find it in the range of Brand New Skates by OPI - not a dup but just in the range and I have wore Brand New Skates a ton.

That's so sad that the Prisms went to clearance! Lol. I sure wish I had been interested when they were in abundance. but, it is fun to find them :) It's such a treasure hunt :)
