The 2013 Fantasy Makers have landed at my favorite drugstore and at first glance, I thought them all rather unspectacular. There's the requisite glow-in-the-dark green, a solid black that I didn't open to check if jelly or creme, a silver foil, and a bright orange jelly. No glitters or shimmers in this bunch. I thought I'd pass, but those little tombstone bottles are just too cute to say no to, so I picked up the orange, called Ghouls Rush In (and such a cute name! I'm a sucker for a good name). As it turns out, it's kind of rockin'!
Isn't it cuuuute?! Ghouls Rush In is a true jelly, nice and self leveling. It dries to a rubbery, semi-matte finish. I used three coats to diminish visible nail line and maximize squishiness.
I LOVE THESE BOTTLES!!
One more :) This is seriously sooo fun to wear and I think it'll play so nicely with the Fantasy Makers of years past.
I've seen these for sale at Fred Meyer only, so far, but keep your eyes peeled as they're certain to land at your local watering hole (thanks, Christine ♥) in no time. They run $1.99 a piece.
Thanks for reading and may the day be gentle with you ♥♥
Very cool and fun orange:)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? The bottle makes *all* the difference :)
DeleteWe think alike. The packaging is half the draw....maybe 3/4ths :)
DeleteYep :) I just commented below that I'd never go for this color in a ChG bottle, lol.
DeleteWhat a great color! The bottles are so cool too :)
ReplyDeleteI know, I love 'em, lol :)
DeleteThis is hilarious and stinkin' cute! I am not usually a fan of orange, but I think the rubberized look works really well with the color. :) And the name is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm not, either, but I like how this one looks on me. There must be more red than yellow in it. Also, the name is what sold me, truthfully :)
DeleteVery fun! I love these little polishes and I love the rubberized look of this one.
ReplyDeleteMe, too! The finish was a totally fun surprise.
DeleteFun Orange! beautiful swatches Liesl :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, sweets :) It is a fun orange.
DeleteStunning shade!
ReplyDelete;D
DeleteWhat a great Halloween colour and I love the bottles ;)
ReplyDeleteI know it! i totally wouldn't have bought this in a ChG bottle but in these, it's a must have, lolol ;)
DeleteI love how brightly orange this is! And that finish is just awesomepants! :D
ReplyDelete~ Yun
Yes!! Awesomepants!! I like that :)
DeleteI love the bottles, they get me every time! Cool color!
ReplyDeleteYou and me, both ;)
DeleteHi sis - now how fun is THIS????? I like that orange on your nails and your pictures are once more just perfect!!! Haha about the watering hole - I am sure I trampled a way into tarmac by now from my regular pilgrimage to the racks of Essence - LOL!!! And I too habe bought polish because of the name - some of them are just too much fun to be left on the shelf ;-). And the tombstone bottle??? Awesome!!!! Have a great day <3
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you ♥♥ You have worn a path, I love it, lol. I've likely worn one in a certain pattern around my Ulta, lol, and to the polish section at the store I work at. I'm sure my coworkers think I'm crazy, always hovering around the polish racks with cell phone in hand. Well, let 'em, I say!! Hugs, sis :)
DeleteThe rubberized finish MAKES the polish. It looks beautiful on your nails.
ReplyDeleteI think the name makes it, lool, but the finish is fantastic, for sure ♥
DeleteNot spectacular at all but very nice color!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the bottle ;)
DeleteI'm so enamoured with that rubber like finish. I don't have any polishes with that finish...need to rectify that immediately. What other polishes have that finish, do you know?
ReplyDeleteWeelll, BL Cake-hole and the Illsmasqua rubber finishes come to mind immediately. Both the Sinful Colors neons I have dry similar... Dream On and Melon(?). Cult Nails has a reallllly cool looking black "wax" finish thati'd love to get on my nails, too.
