Zoya Zenith Collection-- Holiday/Winter 2013

Zoya Zenith collection swatch and review holiday 2013

Hi everyone!!   First off, I want to say THANK YOU to all you veterans for your service and sacrifice.  You are, and always will be, one of the greatest things about this country.

Zoya's holiday/winter collection is a particularly exciting one because rather than steep themselves in the trappings of most holiday themed collections, they went full on winter, with a twist.  The six-polish set is comprised of cold foils and metallics, dark, sparkling scattered holos, and one unique topper that gives the foils and metallics a decidedly and very cool sci-fi feel.

First up is Cassedy, a pewter foil.  This one's cool because real pewter has a slight moss green cast to it and Zoya captured it perfectly in this polish.  I've never seen anything like it.  Two coats.

Belinda is a shimmery metallic royal purple.  If I had to venture a guess, I'd say it resembles Butter London's limited edition polish, Pitter Patter.  I missed out on that one and it is such a stunning shade that I'm stoked to finally have one of these glowy beauties in my stash.  Belinda's got a better price point, too.  It makes me wonder why I don't reach for purples more often.  Two coats.

Seraphina is a bright, silvery, shimmery white foil (yes!! so cool) reminiscent of fresh snowfall in the dead of night.  Two coats.

Mosheen is a glitter topper filled with tiny holographic silver glitters and tiny iridescent pale turquoise bar glitters in a pale, icy blue jelly base.  The only issue I have with this gorgeous, fun, and festive glitter is that the tiny bars tend to hang off the free edge a little upon application.  It's a very minor annoyance for such a cool look but it is nearly impossible to tame the 'flyaways', such as it were.  For fun, because the base color is so pretty, I decided to play around with Mosheen on its own.  Here's one coat.

Doesn't it look so enchanted ice palace-y?  It's fabulous layered over the preceding three colors, too, as I'm sure you can imagine.  I used one coat over each color.

And last but not least, the Zenith collection is rounded out with two rock-your-world gorgeous jelly based scattered holos with exceptional twinkle and depth.  First is Payton, a warm plum purple holo, the one in this whole bunch with the most traditional holiday feel, in my opinion.  Two coats.

Dream, a slightly navy leaning royal blue holo.  Two coats.

The formulas on all six polishes are typical Zoya-- very easy to apply, standard opacity, little to no cleanup.  The collection is well rounded and cohesive, also, an attribute at which Zoya is one of the best at achieving.  Even so, it's easy to choose my must-haves from this-- Payton, Dream, Belinda, and Mosheen, for its uniqueness and for how stellar it looks over Belinda.  All six polishes retail for $8.

Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!! ♥♥

    1. Thank you do much, Yun!! :) I was pleasantly surprised by how cool the two look together (though I don't know why, lol, Zoya's collections are meant for this kind of thing). You should definitely try it!

  9. Beautiful swatches and combos! Wowzers. Remember, I am still up for a swap if you want Pitter Patter for Collide. Belinda is a lot more purple than Pitter Patter. PP is really dark. I think Dream is gorgeous here!

    1. Thank you, Es <3 I can only imagine what magic you would've worked with them. And why did I think you gave Pitter Patter to Emily? I never did wear Collide like I said I would but I think I'm going to hold onto it for now.

  10. I see a future post of "The Blogger Made Me Do It" coming up very soon. Holy macaroli, I think I've gotta have Seraphina and Cassedy. And I love Mosheen over Belinda because it looks just like fireworks, but Mosheen over Seraphina (!!!) looks like Cinderella's ball in a winter wonderland!! <3 Beautiful post. :)

    1. I'm not either, and I agree! I put Belinda on and I was like, "Whoa!!" I think part of the intrigue for me is the unexpectedness of the collection as a ehe for holiday.
