I said I was going on hiatus, then I deleted that part from my last post, because, well, there's no reason to. Rome was not built in a day, and besides, learning curve aside, some colors are too gorgeous not to share. Like this one. Holly is from Zoya's Holiday 2011 collection, and I was thinking that it's such a bright, vibrant green that it could easily be a spring shade. Well, having put it on, I'm convinced that Zoya has found the perfect Christmas green and put it in a 15ml bottle. I drove to work yesterday noticing the stoplights (always a good thing to notice, really...) and thinking of "Silver Bells."
I think I've found the best lighting in my home, but I should have used a tripod... next time. Sigh. ;) Anyway, a word about Zoya's formula-- it is amazing. The stuff practically applies itself. Holly is gorgeously opaque in two coats, and strong. I thrashed my nails at work yesterday, with an unintended fury that would have destroyed a Julep or an OPI manicure, but I came home with only the slightest tipwear. I was amazed. And totally sold.
Here's a link to Zoya's website, via their Share the Love program. If you set up an account, my personal link will put a coupon for a free Zoya polish in your cart. Placing your order and the subsequent shipping will give me Love points, which get me access to special discounts and promos. And, since you'll have an account, you can start sharing the love with your friends, too.
nice color!
