Good morning and happy Sunday!! I think it's become common knowledge that Grocery Outlet sells five packs of Nail Prisms for cheap. I picked up a couple, knowing I'd get some dupes (Turquoise Opal and Lavender Gold never seem to be in those, though! Y??!). What I didn't expect was two of the same in the same package, which meant I now had three Blush Diamonds. It kind of made me a little butthurt. But then I realized they're totally different colors with the same name. Here's the nude version.
I love this one. First off, the SH holos are great because they still look pretty when not in direct sunlight. They're very low maintenance, no buffing or special care needed; base, two coats, topcoat, and they're good to go. I also love the idea of a nude holo, and this version of Blush Diamond is perfectly gorgeous. It's kind of another mannequin hand shade, if my fingertips naturally emitted holographic rainbows, which they TOTALLY SHOULD!!
Here's the other version, one I swatched back in May. It's a rosy pink holo.
Nude.
The nude seems a little more appropriate to the name, and there is a Pink Rose Diamond which may or may not more closely resemble the pink Blush. I believe the pink one was the original release.
So there you have it! Got a preference? Nude or pink? Thanks for reading! :)
Thank you for sharing this! Gorgeous polish on you Liesl!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pamela! I might have to go get a couple more five-packs just so I'll have backups of this one. ;)
DeleteOh wow I had no idea!! How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? There are a couple other colors with different releases, too.
DeleteThis is soo beautiful! same names and differents? too bad I didn't know about that when I frankened my nude holo, I will have to go back and check them, amazing find
ReplyDeleteBoth versions seem to be relatively easy to find. But yeah, pretty wild, ehh? :)
DeleteNaturally holographic nails would be wild! I think they are both pretty but to me the pink wins. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI honestly can't decide! Good thing I have multiples of both. ;)
DeleteThey're both really pretty but I like the nude version more. Great swatches!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara :)
DeleteOh oh!!! Liesl, is that what you sent me??? I got back late last night and found the package!!! Oh my, my hands were shaking cuz it looked so beautiful!!! I can't wait to try it!!! I will on my day off, Wednesday, since I have my Tue with Zoya thing tomorrow dammit... Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. you should receive yours today or tomorrow, with a little surprise inside :))
It is! I can't wait to see it on you! An extra, too? You're so awesome!! :) I can't wait to get home and check my mail.... :) :)
DeleteThis is really pretty-seems there is still flack about that photoshopping post. Saw another post about it today-I probably should have said nothing!
ReplyDeleteNaw. I think you just started an interesting conversation, that's all. That's why I carried it on. It's good to talk about more than pretty colors. We're in our own little subculture, here, and we've got opinions about what happens here, you know? I read one, recently, as well-- she took your stance more than most gals I've seen have. I wonder if it was the same one? Think of it this way-- we've all gained readers for our honesty.
DeleteI like the pink on you, it pops next to your skin tone. Both of them look great though!
ReplyDeleteThanks, S! :)
DeleteI like both, though the pink just a bit more! :-)

Well... I said a ways up there that I couldn't decide, but I've had this on for three days, now, which is unprecedented in my world, so apparently I like the nude better. ;)
DeleteUrgh, I hate it when brands released two different polish under the same name. But, these are both very pretty. I actually think I like the nude version better than the pink version, though. Something about holo sparkles in a nude base gets me. It's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh, me, too! I keep waffling over OPI DS Classic.
