L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick Nature's Blush

Good morning!!  If you've been reading for a while, you know that I kind of like L'Oreal products.  I'd been totally excited for their fall collections to show up in my neck o' the woods, and when one of them did, I was totally in love.  The collection is New York Nudes, and it's full of beautiful, rich neutral colors for nails and lips--RIGHT up my alley.
I hadn't used a L'Oreal lipstick in years, for whatever reason, but one of the offerings this season looked highly promising.  It's a light brown leaning nude cream with the slightest touch of pink, called Nature's Blush.

Nature's Blush is browner than I'm used to wearing.  I've got quite the arsenal of muted pinks and pinky nudes, but I haven't been 100% comfortable with them since I started coloring my hair red last September.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that this color looks great with my unnatural red.

I've finally found the perfect lipstick for my hair!  WOOEEE!

Nature's Blush has a nice, pigmented payoff, but wearing lipstick alone leaves my lips feeling really dry, even a great, creamy formula like this.  The best layering balm I've found are those little round EOS balms.  This is a few swipes of Nature's Blush over the balm.  It sheers the color out a little and gives it a nice, subtle gloss.
I just love it.  I never thought I'd happily give up my pinks, but this color's so easy to wear and lovely.  It works so well with my newly beloved NARS Lhasa eyeshadow that I've been fairly living in both for the past few weeks (and wearing makeup on a more regular basis because of it, too, lol).

The L'Oreal New York Nudes collection is available at Fred Meyer, and the lipstick retails for $7.99.
Have an awesome day and thanks for reading! <3

  1. LOL, love your pics! I have Fairest Nude (I think that's what it's called) and do you a notice that these lipsticks smell like diapers? Or maybe it's baby powder, but that reminds me of diapers:) I do love the lipsticks though. Have you tried Rimmell Airy Fairy? LOVE that lipstick:)

    1. L'Oréal lipsticks do have a distinct smell, and one I'm not too terribly fond of, but not. To the point of distraction. I think you're right that it's baby powder. I have never tried anything by Rimmel. I love that name, Airy Fairy. I'll check it out for sure!

  2. I don't normally (as in, almost NEVER) wear lipstick, but something about this Fall has really got me interested in branching out and changing up my 'look' - and this looks like a great addition to my self-project! Thanks for sharing :)

  3. Lol I LOVE your pics! This shade also looks nice; it looks amazing on you! I always had the hardest time with lipsticks when my hair was red. I'm going to keep my eye out for the new line!

    1. Tee hee, thanks ;) I've had the hardest time with makeup in general after going red, but this fall I seem to have almost accidentally happened upon a cohesive look. One year later. It's seriously about time.

    1. Exactly. It's a nice, natural swipe of color that still manages to make a statement.

  6. nice shade... I always avoid nude lipsticks because of how ghastly pale I am... but this one looks like it might be different. I love your pictures!

    1. Haha, thanks, Karen ;) I'm not exactly sunkissed, myself, lol. I've always liked something a little more pigmented than a true nude lip for the same reasons. This one's darker without balm underneath, too.

  8. Stop posting about makeup!!! You are making me WANT it all! This looks soooooo PRETTY and you know how I feel about makeup. I've been seeing those EOS thingys and wondering if the hype is worth it. I may need to find out...and get myself a lipstick.

    1. Whaaaaat?? I don't believe it. ;) This is a great segue color to start getting comfortable with the idea of lipstick/makeup, for sure. And you *must* get an EOS! They are totally worth it, and I have testimony that I won't go into here, lol.

    1. Ooh, terra cotta! Yes. Maybe not quite as brick on the lip, though. And definitely perfect for fall. <3
