L'Oreal Electric Fantasie/Project Runway 2012

Goood morning!!  I was hot on the trail of one polish the other day when I came across the most delicious looking L'Oreal display, the Electric Fantasie/Project Runway Fall 2012 collection.  The collection's divided into four different subsets, each vibrant and unique, and each representing a different fairytale persona-- the Temptress, the Queen, the Mystic, and the Muse.  Each subset contains two different polishes.  I showed tremendous restraint and chose three, The Temptress' Power (more on that name in a minute), The Mystic's Future, and The Muse's Attitude.

This is The Temptress' Power, or so it says on the bottle.  Everything on the internet says this one is Temptress' Touch, so the batch at my local Rite Aid may very well be mislabeled.  Rest assured it's from the Temptress collection.  This one's a regal honey gold with a pale green iridescence.  It's thin and sheer, but fun and understated.  I used three coats.

This beauty is The Muse's Attitude, my favorite of the bunch.  Many polishes claim to be peacock blue, or green, but this one truly is, to my eye.  This one's a dark, iridescent teal with monochromatic shimmer, absolutely striking and gorgeous on the nail.  The formula's as good as L'Oreal gets, perfect in two coats.

This is The Mystic's Future, an effervescent metallic fuschia with silver shimmer.  It reminds me a little of  Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Burgundy Orchid without the wild multichrome.  Not a bad thing at all.  In fact, it's quite the gorgeous little number, and at a better price point and availability, will be a great stand in for some stuff I wanted to try with my precioussss Prism.  The Mystic's Future went on as nicely as The Muse's Attitude, beautiful in two coats.

The only place I've seen this collection so far is Rite Aid, but apparently it's been spotted at various Walgreens around the US.  These polishes retail for $5.99.

Thanks for reading, and have a loverly day. :)

    1. I feel like they're kind of cool and unexpected for fall, too, like when someone does some dark colors for summer, a la Zoya Carly.

  2. Been waiting to see these swatches and boy do they pan out. Actually I'm really digging the first one for some reason.

    1. You know, the only one I'm really in love with is the teal. The others are very pretty, but I didn't find this collection particularly inspired or anything, know what I mean?

    2. Well the pink especially isn't anything unique. I'm probably drawn to the first because i don't own anything like it (being that I own maybe two nudes). The teal is SUPER pretty but it looks a bit like Butter London Bluey. I'm tempted to go pick it up to compare.

    3. You should! The Muse's Attitude looks greener to me right away, based solely on photos.

    1. I feel like they're awesome transitional colors. Rich, bright, and vibrant, like you say, but not exactly summer shades. Perfect Indian summer colors.

  5. I need Muse's Attitude in my live! It looks sort of like Essie Trophy Wife (but I don't have that". Of course I do not have a Rite-Aid so I hope they come to my Walgreen's or CVS. Beautiful swatches my dear!

    1. Honestly, the most unique colors are the Temptress polishes. I thought Muse's Attitude looked like Essie Dive Bar, but they're similar in finish, only. Based only on what I've seen in Trophy wife swatches, I'd say this one's darker and greener. And thanks, sweets :)

    1. It isn't exclusive to Rite Aid. I've heard reports of it being seen in Walgreens, but the ones in my area don't seem to get anything early, or even on time, lol.

  9. They're pretty but I like them better in the bottle than on the nails.

  11. These are all really gorgeous in the bottle, but I think the teal is the best on the nail, followed by Temptress's Touch/Power.
