Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Good morning, friends!!  Let me start out by saying that it is indeed a blessing to have family members who don't mind going cosmetic hunting for me while on their international travels.  This time, my uncle went to England, and I asked him to look for the elusive UK exclusive Max Factor Fantasy Fire.  Imagine my TOTAL excitement (and warm, fuzzy feelings of love, lol) when I received an email from him stating that the seventh, yes, seventh store was the charm, and he found me three FFs.  Nearly every picture I've seen features it layered over something, meant to conserve because of its price and size.  I planned on wearing it at least once all on its own, but with three bottles, I could do so with reckless abandon.  So, without further ado, here's Fantasy Fire, in four coats.

You've read the descriptions before.  Fantasy Fire is a blue violet jelly base packed with predominantly bright reddish orange golden multichrome shimmer.  I can't even tell you how many times I oohed and ahhed over this polish as I was painting.  At some angles it flashes more golden, and at some the shimmer is green.  And all the while the liquid in the bottle is positively mesmerizing.  Fantasy Fire is fun layered, but on its own it's got this amazing depth and glow.  If you have it, it is worth wearing on its own at least once.  It is absolutely gorgeous, and seriously worthy of as much hyperbole as I can use.  I have the best uncle ever, lol. ;)

  3. Beautiful! Could I ask what store he found it at? My dad is going to London on business next week and I've tasked him with finding me FF; I'm sure he'd prefer if he didn't have to go to 7 stores :P

  13. Sweetest gesture ever!! I don't even think my hubby would go to 7 stores for me! I love Fantasy Fire, but I only have one bottle and I haven't even thought about wearing it on its own!! I think I should be a little reckless and give it a shot. I love it. I like layering mine over a light lavender instead of dark. It really makes the purple jelly and shimmer pop. Kinda like when you wear it alone.

    1. He said he had fun tracking them down, like it was a treasure hunt. Win-win. ;) I never thought to layer it over a light! I'm very curious about that now.
