Zoya Evvie

This post is a study in real life, lol... what nail polish blogging in the PNW can tend to mean.
This is Zoya Evvie, another one of my picks from this fall's Designer collection.  It's raining out, and I wasn't going to let a few little droplets get in the way of some otherwise decent shots.

Evvie's a medium toned olive khaki creme with a distinctly casual feel to it.  It's a pretty neat color-- a little bit greyscale, not quite as fashionable as a true or bluish grey.   Just... comfortable.  Good with blue jeans.  Good for relaxing on the sofa playing on your phone while your husband is watching college football. I've worn this one three times this fall already.
The formula's kind of funny.  It's thin but goes on thick.  You know when you initially pull the brush out and wipe the excess polish off?  Let another drop slide off, then let the next drop slide down the brush.  That, I've found, is the best way to apply this one.  This is two coats and a topcoat.

Aaand, here's my last Joby Nail Art giveaway update... Lizzy O. is the winner, and I've contacted her, she's responded, and her decals will be in the mail today. <3  Thanks again for entering, friends.
Have an awesome weekend! :)

  1. Cool! I love it with the rain drops! You are so dedicated - you'll even photograph in the rain:) I have always thought my nails looked cool in the shower with the water droplets on them...have you ever noticed that? I think it would make a cool picture. Love your crossed out part about playing on your phone :)

    1. Well, a full on storm might deter me, lol. They do look cool in the shower, especially when they've got something shimmery on :) Btw, I just picked up Song... yes, I did choose it over DS Magic ;) I just think it's the prettiest holiday blue, lol. Like, it's an awesome color, but I wasn't wild about it for fall. But for Christmas I just love it.

    3. We do, but not until January, lol. And it's usually minimal, at that... sometimes we get a storm of sorts and don't know what to do with ourselves. ;)

    1. I know! I guess I'll have to hope for breaks or go out with an umbrella, lol. We should totally form a PNW beauty blogger group! I don't know what we'd do, but we could potentially have a sweet badge, lool ;)

  3. I'm a bit lost...what is PNW? xD
Love the rain drops, I think it's suits that polish really well! Dark grays always remind me of rainy days...

    1. PNW is Pacific Northwest, the western- and northernmost continental US states, Oregon and Washington. Some folks like to include Idaho, which doesn't actually border the Pacific ocean, lol.
The rain drops do suit this color well, don't they?

    1. Oh, I know! 100% chance of rain, said the forecast this morning. There was talk of sandbags having to go up this afternoon, but things are starting to dry out a little now. I think I heard the Columbia was up eight inches?! Anyhoo, thank you so much :) I'm pretty pleased with them, lol. :)
