L'Oreal New Money

When L'Oreal released their spring 2013 Trendsetter collection this past winter, I got kind of excited.  The Zoya bloggers were all getting their Lovely samples and press releases, but the rest of us could still get in on the fun at our local drugstores with the new bright and lively Trendsetters.  I immediately went for New Money, an absinthe green shade that's been slowly gaining speed over the past couple years.

L'Oreal New Money

New Money is a vibrant yellow green creme that comes across as a fresh spring green in most lights but, due to the level of yellow in this, comes across as fascinatingly dirty in others.  Very cool.

C's and my first experience with the green fairy was at a Christmas party this past season, and here's a shot, pre-consumption, complete with sugar and water.  The polish color is a little more indicative of what absinthe looks like before it's doctored up.

Here's New Money with a vintage De la Renta umbrella I found at an antique shop.  It is April and this will be getting some use this month, lol.
I'm a big fan of L'Oreal's formula and medium sized tight, flat, tapered brush, and New Money applied beautifully.  I used two coats and a topcoat.
I'm more in love with this color on my nails than I expected to be, despite really liking the idea and the color in the bottle.  It's got an unexpected quality about it and is just on the other side of edgy, a perfect choice if you're looking for something a little more underground than the abundant sweet pastels this season.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day! ♥♥

    1. Thank you :) They've ended up in interesting places, I've noticed. Sometimes they're all together in their own display, sometimes they're with the core line, and sometimes they're in some random display of polishes, lol.
