Shades of Phoenix-- Zeus

*product(s) sent for review

Good morning!!  Another one of Shades of Phoenix's gorgeous glitter creations is gracing my nails today.  This is Zeus, another beauty from the 'In The Beginning' collection, layered over OPI Care To Danse?.

Shades of Phoenix Zeus OPI Care To Danse?

Shades of Phoenix Zeus

Zeus is a complex and delicate glitter with a fantastical, celestial feel.  It's got tiny, medium, and large satiny white hex glitters, small satiny lavender squares, and a smattering of silver and holographic sparkle in a clear base.  The holo bits flash teal and ultraviolet, which plays beautifully off the lavender squares.  It's light and ethereal over a pale purple jelly base.

This is another well-behaved glitter in regards to the pieces all laying flat.  As with any larger glitter, though, the big hexes in Zeus require extra effort to get on the brush and be placed on the nail.  They tend to sink to the bottom of the bottle so holding it upside down and giving it a good shake every couple nails will help keep them accessible.  Aside from this, the formula is wonderful-- not thick or gooey, quick dry time, and excellent glitter payoff in one coat, which is what I used for these photos.  I used two layers of topcoat to smooth the surface.

Also...  I'm now on and hooked on Instagram, lol, @liesllovesprettythings.  Come say hi!  C and I have the day off together so we're headed for the coast to play and do some antiquing, so you can count on some instaspam, lol.  Have a lovely weekend! ♥
