Zoya Satins Saran Wrap Skittlette

*press sample

Good morning!!  The Zoya Satins have been calling my name lately, asking me to do something fun with them, so I complied.  Zoya collections are consistently some of the most cohesive and that, combined with a foolproof art technique, makes playing around with the brilliant colors a lot of fun for the creatively challenged among us.

In case there's doubt in your heads about just how easy a saran wrap mani is, I've only done this one other time to results that did not make me want to poke my eyeballs out.  I have no idea who this idea originated with (enlighten me if you know) but I will post some simplified steps at the end.
I started with bases of Neve (blue) and Giovanna (green).  I paired Neve with Mason, a shimmery fuschia, and Giovanna with Channing, a cool burnt caramel shimmer.

I loooove this so much!  Nail art does not have to be difficult (or time consuming) to look awesome.  I initially googled Nihrida's saran wrap tutorial but here's a condensed version of hers.
  1. You apply your base color.
  2. You let it dry.
  3. You apply one coat of your secondary color.
  4. You dab a wadded up piece of saran wrap over it.
  5. You apply your topcoat.
  6. You clean up your around the fingers mess (if you so desire).
That's it!  Six really easy steps.  The Satin shades are perfect for this technique.  Mason is so subtly pretty over Neve and almost looks like an effects topcoat but I'm most stoked about how Channing looks over Giovanna, like some beautiful, polished stone.
The Zoya Satins are available for $8 each on Zoya.com.  Like Zoya on facebook to stay up to date on specials.
As always, thank you for reading and have a remarkable day! ♥♥

    1. Oh, I hope you try! It's hard for me to get into a lot of it because 10 I don't have the time and 2) most art is fun to look at on others but just not my style. This is easy and abstract enough for even me to want to do it; also, it really is fun looking at your nails and seeing something you "created".

  10. Hi sis - oh you mean this is a sort of nailart I could master? You certainly make it sound like :-)! I sure like both combinations - however Giovanna and Channing are having my vote - Jaspis this is what the two of them look like. Jaspis is one of my favorite stones, it comes is so many color combinations. And their green/red ones definitely are my favorites!!! Beautiful on you <3

    1. I had to look that one up, for I didn't recognise the name, and then yes, it's also known as jasper. And, it's exactly what I was thinking when I said it reminded me of a stone. I want a bracelet that looks like that now, lol. It is gorgeous and remarkable in all its variations, I see exactly why it's one of your favorites! As for the art, sis, if I can do it, you can do it ♥♥
