Introducing Joss Affinite

Joss Affinite swatches and review

Good morning, everyone!!  A package of polishes in a brand totally new to me arrived in my mailbox the other day.  Joss Affinite is an Australian brand of professional salon lacquers that come in glitter and holo finishes.

Sudden Impulse is a straightforward, fun, and gorgeous quinacridone red linear holo.

Tantastic Glow is a not very aptly named but totally in a good way champagne-rose gold linear holo.  It's a subtly unique, not quite nude neutral.  SO pretty!

Alternate Dimension is a classy red-orange holo with a super pretty rainbow.  I'm quickly falling in love with this shade of orange in all sorts of finishes-- it's flattering and quite elegant.

The formulas of these three is fantastic-- I used two very easy coats of each, and they all dried very quickly, without topcoat.  Topcoat is optional on these-- it doesn't dull the rainbow; for comparison, Tantastic Glow is shown with, the other two without.

This last one is called In A Violet Haze, and it's a semi sheer duochrome and scattered holographic shimmer that flashes a whole lot of, yes, violet.  It'd make a stellar special effects topper, but it's also saturated enough to be full coverage.  I used two coats and it is on the dainty side, appearance wise-- three coats would've made it overly thick, in my opinion.

The first three polishes are available for purchase through color4nails.com for $9 each, not including shipping.  In A Violet Haze is not, and that's where you come in.  Do you love it?  Would you buy it?  Color4Nails is looking for feedback from you all in deciding whether or not to start carrying this shade so give me a yay or nay in the comments and I'll pass the word along!

Where to find Color4Nails

Thank you all for reading and have a lovely day!! ♥♥

  1. Oh wow! I'm not a holo lover, but I am so in love with this collection! Violet Haze is pretty, but I'm not sure I'd buy it honestly. I'm loving the blue and purple glints, but it's not duo enough to really grab me. HOWEVER I think it'd be a hit for others. It'd make a superb topper while providing enough coverage to wear on it's own.

    1. I'm with you on Violet Haze. It's not my thing, either, but judging by the rest of the comments it's pretty special. I find it interesting that this is the holo collection to really grab you, of all the holos I've posted on here....

  5. A Violet Haze is actually my favorite of these...followed closely by Sudden Impulse. <3 However, I find that though I have TONS of toppers, I just don't reach for them often. I need to though...and that's a beautiful shimmer. I have heard of Joss...I want to say Llarowe sells it.

    1. That's kind of what I feel about Violet Haze-- it is pretty, but if I'm going to choose a topper, this isn't what I'd typically reach for. It kind of reminds me of Christmas, though.

  7. Oh I love Joss polishes - I so far only own Tantastic Glow but am really taken by the quality and performance of it! The other shades look stunning on you too but are a no go for me as they are too close to my skin tone and so much of their beauty drowns in the melee of too little contrast, but as said - perfect on you xxx

    1. Oh, you have one of these, how cool! It is a nice formula and the price can't be beat, either, unless you're shopping for Jades directly from the source, lol. :) I bet Tantastic Glow is gorgeous on you, sis.
