Sinful Colors Blue La La-- Summer 2014

Hi all!!  Sinful Colors' summer collections have landed, and, as usual, I can't really make heads or tails of the whole thing.  They've got some new, some reissues, and one that looks suspiciously like Cinderella (even as Cinderella is still in the core line).  Also, as far as these sets are concerned, anything goes, color wise.  They run the gamut from spring through fall, which is fun and edifying, but not overly cohesive.  It also makes choosing one or two polishes somewhat difficult, lol.  One of the colors I chose is a little bit spring, but it's so pretty, and I've felt this shade conspicuously absent from my stash recently.

This is Blue La La, a periwinkle creme from the Chill Out set.  The formula is thin but super saturated.  Wipe the excess polish off the brush and use a bit of care and pressure in applying and you'll be fine.  It's perfect in two coats.

I feel like this color would have fit in perfectly with the Zoya Tickled collection.  It's got the same country garden feel to it, and, once again, Sinful nails the whole package at a fa-fa-fa-fraction of the cost, lol.  I purchased mine at Walgreens for $1.99.

Thank you for reading and have a beautiful day!! ☼

  6. I finally have a chance to comment on this beauty! Do you know what I LOVE about your swatches and pics? You have the insane ability to make a $1.99 polish look highly non-affordable. This is seriously so pretty and posh-looking. It reminds me of China Glaze What a Pansy's bluer little sister. <3

    1. What an awesome thing to say! ♥ That's the thing about SCs, though, that you don't need to spend much on a gorgeous color. And the fact that the company realizes that just because your product is under $6 does not mean you have to put it in packaging that looks like it. I was reminded of What A Pansy, too :)

  7. I definitely need to add this to my periwinkle collection and then I will have 2!! Haha! Some collection, huh? ;-) How oddball of SC to do a mishmash of shades and I still don't get why brands will reformulate old colors and give them a new name. You can't fool me!! I do like Sinful Colors though, you can't beat them for that price!

    1. Well, my periwinkle collection consists of this, lol. Like I mentioned in my reply to you on Hot Chili, SC is kind of funny. For the quality ad fab colors, though, nope, you can't beat the price :)

  8. Gorgeous! But I feel like my local drug store isn't getting any of the Sinful Colors collections, which sucks because I love to pick up a few SC polishes here and there!

    1. I wish I knew when they landed, launch dates and such because it's all hit or miss for me, too. Even when I see stuff from Nouveau Cheap, and head over to Walgreens or whoever within a day or two, the collections are totally picked over. I kind of lucked out with this one. Do you go to Walgreens or Rite Aid? I've found that Walgreens gets collections later but it's kind of strange for places to not get them at all?!
