Hi all!! Back this past January, I introduced myself to indie polish brand GlitterDaze, by way of glitter topper Rainbow Bridge, a polish creator Sana made in memoriam of her own beloved pet (my own happy beginning {
HERE}). Sana closed up shop for a few months and recently relaunched with two gorgeous summer collections, one of which is a fabulous set of bright summer cremes. I picked up two of them, Rolling In the Bay and Surfbort (yes, some titillating names in this set!).

GlitterDaze Naughticle Collection-- Rolling In the Bay and Surfbort |
Rolling In the Bay is an out of this world stunning vivid violet creme, similar enough to Julep Anne {
HERE} that I can finally go to sleep satisfied in having found a polish in this beautiful color family with a formula I can live with. This applies nicely in two coats. Like most super bright polishes, this dries to a satiny finish and is not self leveling, so I finished it with a layer of GlitterDaze Quick Dry Keratin topcoat (which is amazing and has been my go-to topcoat for the past few months). The kicker? Rolling In the Bay stains bright magenta. Nothing a little buffing and peroxide won't fix, though-- this polish is gorgeous and worth it.

Surfbort (google the term if you wish, I'm not posting a link here) is a light pistachio green creme. I've been very much drawn to this kind of shade since the OPI Damone Roberts 1968 relaunch and I've now found two that fit the bill (the other one can be found
HERE). This green contains more yellow than blue, and if minty shades tend to pull red from your skin (which they do mine) pistachio greens are a beautiful alternative. Surfbort is a little on the lime green side, light, bright, and eye catching. And the formula? Perfection. Two coats is all I needed; topped with one layer of GlitterDaze Quick Dry Keratin topcoat.

So what's your deal, indie-wise? Are you a full blown glitter fanatic, or are you as happy as I am to see classic cremes with fantastic formulas? Who's your favorite indie?
Thank you for reading, as always, and have a beautiful day!! ♥♥
Both are nice colors! I am a huge glitter fan but cremes are one of my favorites too.
ReplyDeleteRight on :) They do tend to go hand in hand :)
DeleteOooh they are both gorgeous! I love how bright they are, and that green is totally calling to me. :) For me, while I like glitters and cremes, shimmers have always remained my favorite finish. So whenever I see an indie with shimmers, I'm always drawn to that. :)

Isn't that a cool green? Just the nicest summer brights, these two :) Shimmers, YES!! Especially if they're duochrome ♥♥ There's one particular polish, though, I think it might be Ruby Wing or something, lolol, that's white with red shimmer... It's gorgeous. Too bad I can't recall the name or the brand!
DeleteOh my GOSH!!! They are drop dead gorgeous sis and your photos are awesome!!! I feel compelled to have a look at them (oh I fear for my low-buy mind set). And I just love the phrase "you introduced yourself" just IMAGINE!!! I am sure the brand welcomed you with open arms - the two of you go together like pot and lid. The purple is a must-have, no? And while I love that green on you it probably will look gruesome on me - I cannot pull off anything green with too much yellow in it :-( - have a lovely rest of Monday xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, sis!! :) The purple is one that belongs in your beautifully curated collection of such shades and reminded me of you instantly ♥ The green is just okay on me. Sinful Colors Mint Tropics remains my most wearable light /pale green but this one has gotten me more compliments than any polish I've worn.
DeleteWow! These are really nice colours! I love cremes:D
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and am following you now;p
They're gorgeous shades, definitely :) Thanks for your support, doll ♥
DeleteThese are both really pretty. I really like the blue and the mint green :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are both maximally gorgeous ♥♥
Deletelove the green one, such a unique color
ReplyDeleteIt really is! So nice to find a light green with minimal blue.
Deletelove those--forever a mint green fan, :)
ReplyDeleteAs am I-- and I'm stoked to finally have found one I can wear ♥♥
