ART!!! lol. I was recently chatting with a friend about how I basically get a nervous tick whenever I think about leaving the house with multiple colors on my nails, when shortly thereafter, I got the notion to do another saran wrap manicure. And, since it's summer and holos abound, I decided to do one using a few of the not inconsiderable rainbow of holos available from Celestial Cosmetics. Observe.
I used two of this summer's The Electric You collection as my base colors-- Trip, a yellow orange, on index and middle, and Merge, a hot pink, on ring, pinky, and thumb. I painted one coat of Ocean Mist, turquoise, over Trip, and dabbed over it with a bunched up piece of plastic wrap. I used the same technique with Reaper Crew, a deep blue-black, over Merge.
All four colors are currently available for sale through color4nails.com and now is a perfect tie to buy, because C4N is celebrating their site's one year anniversary with a 15% off sale on all brands. Just use coupon code ANNIV2014. Hop on over to their facebook page and wish them a happy anni, too!
Thank you for reading and have an amazing day!! ♥♥♥

I love this! The holo does an awesome job at tying all of the colors. Don't be offended if I take your idea (giving you all the credit of course!) :)
ReplyDeleteNot at all, sweets!! Have fun with it! The holo does tie it all in. After Id finished it, at like, 11pm, I was all, well that didn't turn out like I'd expected... Definitely a Wait till you see it in the sun!!! manicure :)
DeleteThat's so freaking pretty! So much holo! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Veronica! Yes, soooo much holo ♥♥♥♥♥

DeleteTo me, top pic of ring finger is like the best galaxy mani ever!!
ReplyDeleteOh, right on!! I didn't think of that but you're totally right! Thanks, doll :) :)
DeleteHi Liesl, oh!my!gosh! I probably would have thumped on the floor if I would not have been seated when reading your post! This is one, no probably my favorite mani of yours EVER!!! I see, I cannot stop throwing one superlative after the other, it is too beautiful. My favorites are Index and middle though the real secret IMO is the combination of the two! Hope you had a lovely weekend - mine is about to be over :-S xxx
ReplyDeleteLol, right on! It's encouraging that my attempts can elicit such a response ;) Thank you lots, sis! It's been a fun weekend and today looks to be super mellow-- house is clean, ac is on, outside temps look to rise to triple digits... we'll be firmly planted on our loveseat unless one of us gets a wild hair, which does tend to happen, lol :)
DeleteSee? You don't have to be an artist to make art! I agree that the ring finger looks like a galaxy design, but I also think your index finger looks like really good black opal. Just altogether gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you, doll ♥♥ I love saran wrap manis for that very reason. And dang, black opals are cool! i had no idea what these looked like. They remind me of nebulae.
DeleteWow Liesl, I've got to say that this is freaking gorgeous!! I'm not going to write a lot cause I'm going to scroll back up and ogle your pics some more. :D
ReplyDelete~ Yun
