Enchanted Polish December 2014

Enchanted Polish is one of those brands shrouded in a certain exclusivity.  They're hard to come by organically and generally resell for exorbitant amounts on ebay and I've just never been interested.  A few Sundays ago, though, I happened to be online in the right place at the right time and, having an "Ahh, what the hekk" moment, decided to preorder the December 2014 mystery polish.

I pay enough attention to know that Enchanted Polish has, for the last year or two, been releasing secret monthly exclusive polishes, color and finish unknown until the purchaser opens the solid black box, or until someone starts posting spoilers.  As of last night, a google search yielded nothing on this month's offering, so I thought it best to lead off with an alert (because I simply could not wait to get it on my nails and show it off... it's that pretty). **edited-- alert removed (in case you couldn't tell)**

Enchanted Polish December 2014
December 2014 is a finely milled watery aqua glassfleck with a subtle linear holo effect (and I can't even tell you how badly I wish today was clear!).  It's a shade that feels refreshing and cool in the summer and ice palace cold in the winter.  As much as I was secretly hoping for a red, this did not disappoint and is singularly unique to my not inconsiderable collection of aqua/teal holos due to its fine glassfleck finish.  This is stunning-- differently faceted in different light, pristinely pretty in all.  The formula is on the thin side and required a tad more cleanup than I'm used to with this type of finish.  I used two coats and one layer of topcoat.

So, I may or may not be a little bit hooked on these polishes and the whole idea, now...  I subscribed to the  Enchanted Polish newsletter and fully plan on at least getting my birth month polish in the coming year.

Thank you for reading and Happy Caturday!!  Please enjoy this parting shot of Geddy seeing our Christmas tree for the first time =^^=

  2. I've never been interested either in Enchanted Polish, mainly because I just do not want to make such an effort to spend my money lol. However, it's very cool you got lucky and in return got such a pretty shade! This will look gorgeous in summertime by the pool.

    1. Thank you :) She's actually been really good, after one initial swatting. C and I fully expected to come home from work to the tree splattered all over the floor and broken ornaments everywhere so he tried to enact a couple failsafes and they've worked, so far... dun dun dunnnn.....

  5. I'd been intrigued by Enchanted for a while and finally got in on some of the last couple of offerings. They're never what I expect and they're always gorgeous, so I'm a little obsessed myself!

    1. It all depends on the company, for me. Plus, the opportunity presented itself, lol ;) I couldn't turn it down.
