A Little (discontinued) Catrice Swatch Spam

  

  Hi friends!!  Right before international shipping prices jumped sky-high and overseas swapping became a luxury I could no longer afford, my good friend Christine at Polished Marvels and I got in a couple good ones.  She sent me a few polishes from one of my very favorite international brands, Catrice, and they're treasures in my collection... even more so when I found out all my colors had been discontinued.  So, my bad for being remiss in posting about them; I don't know about you, though, but I kind of think looking at vhtf/d/c'd polish swatches is fun. :)

A Little Catrice Spam!

Hellooo!!  Rather than inundate you all with a bunch of Peridot dupe photos, I thought I'd try to make it somewhat interesting and combine my new Catrice dupe with an older one that I've shown before but reallllly wanted to wear again.

Here's Genius in a Bottle.

 The lovely Christine from Polished Marvels sent me not one, but two of the green to gold duochromes I love so much and I could not wait to get one on my fingers.  The only polish I can personally compare Genius in a Bottle to at the moment is China Glaze Rare and Radiant, and Genius seems to be a little more golden and a lot less brushstroke-y.  This is two coats.  Love.

This one's Heavy Metallilac, one my awesome mamama brought me from her trip to Holland last spring that some of you've probably seen already.  It's an absolutely stunning and vivid shimmery violet.  Two coats here, too.

Catrice Blue Cara Ciao + More Nail Mail!!

Hi friends!!  Let's get to the nail mail first, since that's the whole reason this post exists.  I recently did a swap with the amazing and lovely Christine at Polished Marvels, and after a small amount of post office anxiety, a package arrived at my doorstep yesterday morning.  Talk about curing my flu blues, my friend spoiled me to pieces!! ♥♥♥

Included are two more of my beloved Peridot dupes (sorry to you gals bored to tears with those, but those swatches are imminent, lolol), some Europe exclusive Essences, a whole slew of Catrices, and another Max Factor (because she knows I love those ♥).  It was hard to decide which to wear first, but this gorgeous Catrice creme, Blue Cara Ciao, jumped out at both me and C.  Sadly, I could not get a color-accurate shot to save my life but I'm going to show you these, anyway.

Yum.  I love my holos, duochromes, glassflecks, and jellies but nothing's as pretty in my book as a smooth, glassy creme.  Blue Cara Ciao is a vivid and saturated azure blue with a touch more green than my photos show.  The Catrice brush is similar to WetnWild's Megalast, but a little thinner, not so tapered, and not all ragged like WnWs tend to be.  Application is an absolute breeze.  I used two coats here.  I'm stoked to have more of these European beauties in my collection and I can't wait to try out the rest of my new polishes!

Catrice Heavy Metallilac

Good morning!!  My mom recently went to Holland, and I asked her to bring me back some polishes, and, not knowing what colors to ask for, I gave her carte blanche.
I don't have many purples.  I've shied away from them, for some reason, which is silly because it's one of my favorite colors (in fact, this polish totally matches the bathrobe I've got on right now. lol.)  This is Catrice Heavy Metallilac, a totally gorgeous warm, metallic ultraviolet that looks different and equally beautimous in all sorts of light.  

So tastie!  I didn't expect to love this color as much as I do.  Part of it is the amazing formula.  This is one coat.  One!  The brush is big and thick, but after I got used to it, this became the easiest polish I've ever applied.  Thanks, Mom, you did awesome!  Can we like, start petitioning Catrice to sell stateside?  

Anyway, it's been a while since I posted cat spam, so here you go.  MST3000, anyone?
