PNW Beauty Blogger Feature-- Cat's Adventures in Lacquerland

Hi friends!  It's time for another PNW Beauty Blogger installment.  Meet Cat of Cat's Adventures in Lacquerland.  Cat's a blogger out of Seattle, Washington.  She's a scientist by day and her methodical approach to photography and reviewing reflects this and makes her blog unique, fun, and completely informative and entertaining.

Each post is perfectly straightforward, no nonsense, with photos demonstrating each color in different light.  Here's a cross-section of some of my favorites.

PNW Beauty Blogger Feature-- Constantly Redone

Good morning!!  In the spirit of celebrating friendships, my next PNW Beauty Blogger feature is another friend in real life, but also Candice at Mommy Does Her Nails's real life bff.  Allow me to introduce you to Frankie at Constantly Redone.

Frankie doesn't post as much as some of us would like, lol...  She's a married mom of four with one on the way and I hear that sort of thing gets in the way of taking pictures of your nails.  When she does get around to it, though, she posts some amazingly adventurous art and some super creative combos.

Frankie's pretty much the undisputed Zoya queen around these parts (Harlow! Hello!  No one can seem to bribe her enough to get her to part with this one) and she shares my obsession with Sally Hansen Nail Prisms.  Her blog is worth visiting for her 19 Random Facts list, alone... Number 16 is TRUTH!!

The patience to stamp like this does not exist in my world.  I just love the colors and how the whole thing looks on mannequin hands.

PNW Beauty Blogger Feature-- Mommy Does Her Nails

Good morning, friends :) Next up in my Pacific Northwest Beauty Blogger feature series is Candice at Mommy Does Her Nails.

Candice and I met at a retreat in October of 2011 and hit it off over her obsession with nail polish and mine with perfume.  She introduced me to this crazy little world and the rest is history.  So I may be a little biased when I say that hers is my favorite nail art blog because we're friends in real life, but the truth is, she's one of the most creative gals out there and so far has managed to fly under the radar.

Candice is a freelance graphic designer by day, and you need look no further than the header of my own blog to see some of her handiwork.  Her designs have not been so under the radar, but that's another story.

Candice sees color and texture in the most remarkable of ways.  When was the last time you saw crackle polish look cool?

Candice is a consummate family gal and often involves her husband and children in her art, photography, and posts.  She's got a regular feature called Hubby's Picks, in which her husband attempts to stump her skill set with his choice of colors and finishes.  He never does, but it's fascinating to watch.  Here's the most recent challenge result.

PNW Beauty Blogger Feature-- The Polish Hideout

Good morning, guys and gals!  The Pacific Northwest isn't exactly what most people think of when pondering anything beauty or fashion, but we've actually got a fairly sizeable group of bloggerettes around these parts.  I think it's totally fun finding out where my fellow blogerettes are from, and learning some of my faves are local yokels has been a real treat.  So, I present to you the first installment in a feature I've been thinking about for a while, PNW Beauty Bloggers.

This gal really needs no introduction.  Yun at The Polish Hideout hails from Washington state and is one of the more prolific bloggers out here.  She's one of those big bloggers who always takes the time to interact with her readers.  No comment goes unresponded to on her blog and she's great about checking out the rest of us and leaving her own lovely comments.  Yun's the giveaway queen and always has an awesome nail polish prize up her sleeve for a lucky reader.  The most recent was the entire Zoya Designer collection.

Yun's always up on the newest polish collections and posts her findings one at a time in beautifully unique swatches and great attention to detail.
