Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Cinnabar

...which is, apparently, the same as Cinnabar Opal, but not to be confused with Golden Cinnabar.  These Prisms... they're terribly fun to play with, but their history is a bit baffling.  This one was released a couple times under different names, but the formula did not change (which it did with a couple I've posted about already, but I'll get to that another day).
Cinnabar is a pink to peach duochrome with a pearly finish and a phosphorescent glow.  I used three coats.

The shift is subtle, but it's there, and these photos don't really do justice to the glow this polish gives off.  It looked sort of unspectacular in the bottle, but it's really a surprisingly pretty (and vivid, due to that kind of backlit thing) color.  Cinnabar can be found for a very reasonable price on amazon, if you're so inclined.  Thanks for reading, and carpe diem. lol. :)

Editing to add one more picture.  The sun came out late this afternoon so I had to take advantage. ;)

Long live the frosty finish. ;)

  1. So soft and delicate but with such amazing glow - I was just looking at this one and considering adding it to my obtain list when I saw your post. Definitely need to add it now!

  2. Wow, this is such a radiant color. I have to say that I'm not usually a fan of pearly finishes, but it really works for this shade. Very pretty.

    1. You know, the truth is I've been going back and forth on this one. Part of me thinks this looks a little dated, but then it's so glowy and, yes, radiant (perfect word!) that all is forgiven. Lol.

  3. This one looks great on its own. I think the brushstrokes would be more noticable layered over a darker polish. This does look very pretty! And isn't it funny how the whole Prisms collection has a lot of similar names??

    1. It totally is. Half of them make no sense, and a few of them are dupes for each other. I'm still having a blast finding them, though.

    1. I'm really a fan of the pearly finish, and I'm always a little stoked when I hear someone else likes it, too. :)
