Revlon Posh

Good morning!!  I treated myself to my first professional pedicure in, like, ten years on Saturday, and my toesies look so pretty!  I felt a little bad for the nail tech, not that my feet are particularly gnarly, but ten years of doing my own pedis has left then in questionable shape, I'm sure.  In case you're wondering, I'm wearing L'Oreal Penthouse Pink. :)
I've had my eye on Revlon Posh for a few months now, and in light of my AWESOME new pedi, I decided it'd look great on my toes next time around, but of course I had to test drive it first (and maybe I'll end up liking the color better on my fingers.)

Posh is a really vivid jade green creme that applies beautifully and is opaque in two coats.  I love darker greens, and this one is bright enough to still be a summer color.  It reminds me of lush green trees, freshly cut grass, all the vital greenness early and mid summer have to offer.  It feels a little elegant to me as well, like it would be a lovely, slightly edgy color to add to a little black dress ensemble.

So I actually had an idea in mind for a mani when I picked this polish up.

I tried a Carly manicure with Posh and WetnWild On A Trip, then topped it with Essence Special Effects Topper in Soft Touch.  The effect was pretty nifty.  My nails were kind of fun to touch, lol.  The finish isn't exactly matte, more of a satin, and is kind of pretty; but, it seems to really highlight nail flaws.  I almost kept it all on for the novelty, but I'm a simple gal with simple tastes and I had to have my glossy one color mani. lol.  But hey, it was fun being adventurous for a minute or two. ;)
Thank you for reading!  Have a lovely second day of the month. :)

    1. I imagine, if you do any sort of art (which I know you do, you're fantastic) this is a good one. It seems like it has a lot of pigment.

  3. Ooh black dress would look great with these nails!! And some green stone jewelry maybe?
You feel bad for your nail tech... I tip mine extra for having to endure my "toenails", half of them are gone from the mountain and running and the other half is pretty gnarly... I won't be winning any foot contests anytime soon!!

    1. Oh, jade jewelry would be so gorgeous!
My tech actually asked me if I dropped something on a couple of my toesies. No, but I did spewing one of them plaintiff barefoot soccer with my niece last summer. :/ Seriously, I couldn't do it. So I'm glad someone else will. Lol.

  4. I adore this shade of green! I especially like when greens are called "Kelly Green" but only because my name is Kelly :) This is the type of green I love wearing all year round even though it gives me lobster hands.

    1. Ahh, Kelly green! Is that what this is? I thought Kelly green has a smidge more blue in it. I know it's very pretty, whatever it is...lol.

  5. That's a really gorgeous green, and it would look lovely as a pedi color! :-)

    1. I'm enjoying wearing this way more than I thought I would! I'm doing my 4th mani tonight, otherwise I'd wear this for another couple days.

  6. What a pretty green! I always pass on it because I'm just *sure* I have something similar to it. This is tempting me...
Anyhoo, the Soft Touch satin-y topper used in the last picture on that particular green and purple really reminds me of the Illamasqua rubber finish polishes; very cool!

    1. That's the nice thing about having a small collection; I don't have to worry too much about dupes for a while. And you're right, it does look a little rubbery. Cool. I don't have any Illamasquas, but I really like Faithful.

  7. How did I miss this post? Posch is on my wish list and has been for a while. I'm not quite sure why I keep passing on it. I love it every time I see it. I need to look up comparisons to Mojito Madness....

    1. Oh, good thought! If I had to guess, I'd say Mojito is lighter.
