Butter London Dodgy Barnett

Good morning!!  So I didn't even realize I was on a search for the perfect silver holo until it occurred to me that Butter London's Dodgy Barnett, from their new fall/winter 2012 line, might be it.  It's glossy, linear, and foolproof in application.  And seriously, a gorgeous silver holo named after a bad hairdo?  What's not to love?

Dodgy Barnett's linear holo is not super strong, but certainly not weak.  It makes up for its strength in opacity and user friendliness.  I applied my basecoat as usual, three coats of polish (two is fine, three makes it that much more dense), and a topcoat, which didn't dull the holo in any way.  Dodgy Barnett is glossy without a topcoat, though, and doesn't become flat in the shade or indirect lighting.  It doesn't pull, streak, or bald.  It does give off beautiful, satisfying rainbows with minimal effort.
Butter London is sold at Ulta and on the Butter London website.
Thanks for reading!  Carpe diem. :D

    2. It's so fun when you can say "damn, now that's a good picture!". I can't say I feel that too often, but when I do, I keep going back to it and admiring it:) Give yourself a pat on the back.

    1. I do love the Laylas, I'm not going to lie. But the ease of application in these, combined with their appearance in the shade, trumps a super strong rainbow, for me.
