Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Fire Opal

Good morning!!  I have another Nail Prism for your viewing pleasure this ayem.  There's a word for my kind, something having to do with not being overly selective about certain things... let's just say that I'm of the opinion that any Prism is a good Prism.  Even so, I've been a little reticent to wear this one, as it's largely seen as the dud of the bunch and does not look like much of anything in the bottle.  I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it is on.

Fire Opal is a bright, very slightly coral-tinged pink jelly packed with light blue shimmer and giving off a subtle, pale cerulean flash.  It is very sheer and doesn't build much after three coats, but when a polish is this pretty, it's kind of a non-issue.  Some of the Prisms have pretty long dry times, but Fire Opal behaved well and did not make me sit through two episodes of Mad Men before being dry to the touch (though I did do that, you know, just in case).

Fire Opal was showing up pretty regularly in those five-packs we were seeing so many of for a while, and that's how I got mine.  It's currently available on amazon for $2.99 + shipping.

Thanks for reading, and have a marvelous day! ♥♥

  3. I love Fire Opal on you Liesl :-)!!! The blue shimmer in it is so spot on - at least with Indie Brands they throw in contrasting shimmers front and back. I also don't mind sheerness with this sort of polishes - it sort of adds to the overall effect!!! Speaking of not being overly selective - ehem, I know what you mean ;-). Thanks for this great post xxx

    1. That is a fabulous idea! Kind of like a Fantasy Fire type thing. I'll have to try that!
