Hi again, you get an LLPT twofer today ;)
I've been stalking my local Ulta since Mother's Day for the Zoya summer collections, Irresistible and Stunning. They finally got them in this Sunday, like I think maybe they *just* unboxed them when I swooped right on in, lol.
A few of the polishes in these collections have musical names and aside from being gorgeous colors, the two greens are reminiscent of songs from one of my very favorite groups, Steely Dan. This one is Rikki (as in, Rikki Don't Lose That Number), from the Irresistible collection.
Rikki is a cool, medium moss green foil. It's a hard color to accurately describe. There's a bit of yellow in here (which keeps it from giving me lobster hands, always a good thing) and enough blue to take it to the hunter green side of the spectrum. It's a lighter blue, so the effect is a gorgeous and perfectly summer wearable and unique green. It's got green, yellow, and a small smattering of copper shimmers.
If some of the foils from the last few collections have been a bit thick, Zoya's returned to perfect form with this one. Rikki's got a formula of perfectly workable consistency and is beautiful in two coats.
Wearing a Zoya foil is such a treat, to me. They look so magical going on, are so easy to apply, and have such an amazing finish.
I can safely say now that Zoya Rikki is available at your local Ulta for $8. It's also available on Zoya's website. Ulta is having a B2G1 sale this week, so I picked up a small bottle of Zoya Remove to try. I've been a pure acetone devotee since I started painting my nails but if there's something that removes polishes like this with the same ease and with less dehydration, I'm all for it. I'll report back with my thoughts, but I know a lot of you gals love it and I'd love to hear why.
Thanks for reading and may the day be gentle with you ♥
I love Rikki! It's one of my favorites from the collection...great choice! Beautiful swatches too - Zoya will love them!!!
ReplyDeleteAww. Thanks, friend. ♥♥ I was totally sold on their greens this year, lol.
DeleteRikki is so pretty! I love any foil shades and this one is perfect! Wonderful swatch :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, foils are just gorgeous in any color :) Thanks, Lisa!
DeleteI love this polish. It looks great on you and everybody else who wears it. ;) You'll love Zoya Remove...it smells kinda like rosemary. I'm all for a gentle remover, even if it does make my hands smell like a pot roast.
ReplyDeleteSo nice, isn't it, a beautiful and easy to wear green :) And pot roast, ehh? My vegetarian self certainly hopes not, lol. D:
DeleteZoya's Remover is mostly pure acetone, just with glycerin and fragrance added. You should find that it's just as potent as the acetone removers you're used to, but less drying. :) Rikki is so gorgeous on you! And I totally agree with you on Zoya's foils. They really are something. :)

Oh good, that was what I was hoping to hear. It's obvi a lot spendier than pure acetone, but it sounds like it's worth it.
DeleteI am so envious as we don't have Zoya in the UK! I've seen this one before and it looks so nice :) x
ReplyDeleteAll nail polish should be available everywhere, imo :) I'm fortunate to have a Max Factor supplier, lol, because I'm jelly of you UK gals for that one ;)
DeleteSo awesome! I just love this one <3 Actually that whole collection knocked my socks off! beautiful pics hon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, EJ! :) It is a gorgeous collection. I managed to talk myself out of buying more than two, though, lol.
DeleteHmm...I don't have this one (don't know how I missed buying it) because I buy all of Zoyas greens. This is so pretty and Zoya makes THE best foils. Zoya should really reach out to you to do swatches for them...you have the prettiest nails.
ReplyDeleteOh and I use Zoya Remove, I really like it. I've been using it for about a year now.
DeleteAnother yes vote on the Remove! Sounds like I should've bought the bigger bottle, lol. And what a nice thing to say :) If Zoya wanted to send me stuff I certainly wouldn't turn it down!
Deletebeautiful shade.. lovely swatches :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pearl, it is a lovely shade of green :)
DeleteLove, love, love foils! This looks amazing on you. I'm one of the few that doesn't like Zoya Remove+. I do however really like the remover they sell at Sallys with acetone, the pink one.
ReplyDeleteOoh, what don't you like about it? I just heard about the pink Sally remover, on JenFantastic or something. It looks loke good stuff and it it's less than Remove, all's the better.
DeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? :) I'm enjoying it so much, I'm on day three ;)
DeleteHi sis - totally, totally beautiful - having seen your photo on IG, I could not wait to see it on your nails!!! Unfortunately, this green is a big NO for me, it sort of looks weird against my skin tone and there is not enough contrast (if you know what I mean) between skin and nails. And I just LOVE the Zoya polish remover, one of the best I ever tried xxx
ReplyDeleteAh, and there I was up there saying it's nice that there's a gorgous green good for all skin tones. Maybe there's too much olive in your skin for this? I can picture what you describe but I'm having trouble putting words to it. Glad you like the Zoya remover, too; tonight Rikki comes off and I'll see how well it stacks up against pure acetone. Also, I'll try to get a good cat and mani shot. ;)
DeleteOkay, really random comment - I grew up listening to Steely Dan, so when I read Rikki, I thought the same thing!
ReplyDeleteThis color looks fab on your nails!
Yes!! You're the first person who gets what I'm talking about (or cares enough to say something, lol). It helps that the color is gorgie, if it had been brown I might have had to pass in spite of myself, lol.
DeleteI love Steely Dan!! Now we need a Bodhisattva! haha
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Deb! And an Aja :)
