Cult Nails Kiss

Hi everyone!!  I've oohed and ahhed over Cult Nails polishes on Essie's and Christine's blogs, and just never pulled the trigger because sometimes you know that the last thing you need is to be hooked on another line of polish, lol.  Well, Christine's posts on the Passionate Dreams collection pushed me over the edge.  Kiss, a vampy shade of blue based red that dries to an envelope-pushing wax finish, had to be mine.

The formula applies nicely and is fairly typical good creme-- something that requires a certain amount of control.  I used two coats with no topcoat.  This type of finish is very unforgiving and definitely looks best on flawless nails (which mine aren't).  It's still a striking color and finish and a must have if you're a red polish fiend like myself.  The satiny finish is fun to touch, too.

Cult Nails' customer service is seriously second to none, and they've got a $3 sale happening right now, so if you've been on the fence about this line, there's no better time than now to give them a shot!  Kiss is available for full retail of $12.  Check out Cult Nails' website here.

Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!! ♥

  5. Still stunning! I absolutely adore matte finish polishes, but you are so right. If the nail isn't flawless it shows (and mine have those annoying lines up and down). Still fabulous and I'll be it'd look amazing with a gold flake top coat.

  6. This looks a lot like the finish on Layla Fire It Up. I never was sure how to describe it, but wax is just about right. I don't have any Cult Nails stuff...there are so many brands out there, and I'll look and throw a couple in my shopping cart, then I'll click somewhere else...the whole thing is exhausting. :P This looks lovely on your points...looks rather villian-esqe. :D

    1. Ooh, do you have that Layla? I'll have to go back and look. I know exactly what you're saying, there seriously are way too many brands to choose from and it is exhausting. I wanted to try two new indies out for myself this year and I've done so, and I'm pretty stoked about both :) And villain-esque, eh? Good :D

  8. I wore this shade for Valentine's Day and fell in love with it-- too bad it chipped like the dickens on me! *pouts* But I seriously love this polish, regardless of it's longevity on my nails.

    1. And how could I not mention how many times I've drooled over your Cult swatches?! Anyhoo, that's definitely a drawback to wearing satin/matte finishes but it's worth it when they're this striking, I agree!
