Good morning!! C's been on an old Bond movie kick, lately. Maybe bringing home these polishes inspired him, or maybe we're just thinking the same thing again. Either way, it's been fun putting more than just a face and a name to these iconic Bond girls, even if I don't totally get the franchise itself and have napped through a good portion of each movie. I dunno, 007 just doesn't do it for me.
Last, but most certainly not least, of my OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand mini set is Pussy Galore, named for Honor Blackman's character in Goldfinger.
Pussy Galore is a gorgeous, soft, gratuitously girly cotton candy pink with slightly darker mica bits for the texture, and a smattering of fuschia shimmer that refuses to come out and play on camera, even in the sun. It's got the same airy, whipped quality of Solitaire, and despite the semi-frosty finish that you've seen in some photos, is actually quite matte. Pussy Galore reminds me of lingerie, of maribou feathers for your nails. Titilatingly appropriate, no? I think, if anyone asks what I'm wearing, I'll lead off with "You know the James Bond movie Goldfinger?..."
This polish is a little sheer. I used three coats here. The formula is practically-applies-itself amazing, as each of the Liquid Sands I've tried has been.
And finally....
... pussies galore. They love each other.
Thanks for reading, and have an easy Monday. ♥♥
LOL!!!! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteYeeaaahhhhh. ;)
DeleteMy two cats have the same coloring ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Then they're completely adorable. ;)
Delete:) This image takes away the embarrassment of saying the name of the polish.
ReplyDeleteGood, that was the point, lol. Though a little white lie to the tune of "I don't remember" also works. :p
DeleteHahahaha nice play on words with the cats! ;-) Seriously, WHAT was OPI thinking, naming it that?! I was looking at a 4-pack of the minis on eBay and could NOT get over it. I seriously would use the "ummm...I don't remember" line if someone asked. Actually, I have used that one before, for other things I deemed embarrassing. :-)
DeleteWell... with all due respect, OPI does not always come up with the classiest of names, lol (see Stupid Polish Names). But, yeah... and in this particular color, no less, lol.
DeleteOooh, I'll hafta check that out! WE (you, Essie, and I) should be part of the group that names OPI polishes...now THAT would be a dream job! And so much fun, working with you two! AND I'm sure our "team" (Team LEM?) would come up with the BEST names. ;-)
DeleteThat would be a *serious* amount o' fun. Let's submit our apps immediately. ;)
DeleteSuch a pretty polish!!! Nice pic at the end haha
ReplyDeleteit is pretty! And thanks, I had to address the elephant somehow, lol.
DeleteHehe cute post! It's a really pretty pink! You could always say "the pink one from the new OPI Bond Girls Collection" teehee. :D

ReplyDeleteAlso, love the cat pic <3
Hahahaha, that's awesome. I posted a pic in one of my fb groups and mentioned how hard it is to keep this one classy... It is so pretty! I'm totally impressed with this collection, too, and I'm hoping my Ulta restocks Tiffany Case asap.
DeleteHaha love the pic at the end! I love the color but I really want it for the name! :0)
ReplyDeleteI'd be lying if I said I didn't find it at least slightly entertaining, lol ;)
DeleteThat polish is very pretty but I especially love the name. Lol. That's an awesome pic of your cats.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it?! Rofl. I'm lucky I didn't get my neck all scratched up. The top one's pretty mad, lolol.

ReplyDeleteHahaha, thanks, Pearl :) That photo's about as real as it gets, lol.
DeleteROFL!!! OMG I just about died from laughter LOL. The last pic Liesl, I can totally feel the love there.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought OPI was pretty courageous naming this polish that, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that marketing meeting!
Yes, it's totally emanating from the screen, isn't it? lool. And SERIOUSLY!! You know it HAD to have gotten pretty, umm, interesting. Now I'm just waiting for the dirty search engine terms to start showing up in my stats... :p
DeleteOooh yuck! Definitely have to throw OPI in there if you're searching that name. Wouldn't want to be at work doing that, who knows what would pop up!
DeleteAmazing polish and amazing cats :)
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, they are quite amazing ;)
Deletehahaha I love the photo of the kitties :P

ReplyDeleteIsn't it?! My DH was pretty proud of himself for that capture ;)
DeleteIt looks gorgeous on you Liesl!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite. My husband thinks it's the best polish ever created lol. He said I never need to buy another just wear this forever.
Thanks, Tami :) That's so sweet that your DH likes this one so much on you. And never need to buy another, lol. So cute! ;)
DeleteThis looks so pretty and I love the name of this polish! Can you imagine the frowns or giggles telling people what the name of this polish is? LOL Aww that pic at the end of this post is so sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously :) I've been fortunate that no one's cared to ask the name, lol. One of my coworkers wanted to feel it, though, lol.
