The colors are Wet n Wild Private Viewing (which I can't seem to stop myself from singing Tina Turner whenever I bring this one out... I'm your priiiiiivate dancer!!), Zoya Raven for the accent, and Julep Emma for the top.
I love all three of these colors. I wasn't sure how I felt about this manicure last night-- neither such a dark contrasting accent, nor Emma over that accent, but its grown on me this morning. Emma is gorgeous over Private Viewing, which already has a very small amount of sheen. It's sort of cool-looking over Raven, too, though, giving it an almost midnight blue look.
The top three are outdoor, no flash. Bottom is indoor, no flash. And holy smokes, are nails the hardest thing in the world to photograph, or what?
I've learned to do a fifteen minute oil and water soak to soften my cuticles and moisturize naked nails (I use a few drops of olive oil or Julep's Argan oil from the March maven box.) My bases are still super dry, though, which is a little discouraging. Also, I think black nail polish might be harder to apply properly than red lipstick....
Thanks for reading! Tips on cuticle care are most welcome. :)
i find that even if i tend to my cuticles with every mani, that's every 2 or 3 days, it's just not enough. my cuticles were looking best when i put on cuticle oil before bed, after shower in the am, and whenever i could remember throughout the the day. some of us might just be cursed with dry cuticles!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was afraid of, that I've got some high-maintenance cuticles. Thank you so much for the advice. :)
