Celestial Cosmetics nail polish swatch and review

Hi all!!  I'm seriously loving everything coming out of Celestial Cosmetics these days.  I'm not feeling particularly wordy at the moment (maybe a good thing anyway, lol) so let's just get to it :)

First up is Chrome Amaranth, a Color4Nails exclusive.  Chrome Amaranth is a bright, light silver foil with red microglitter and holographic red hex glitter that flash magenta and gold.  In the bottle, it looks like it might apply a little thick, but it doesn't.  I used two easy coats and one layer of GlitterDaze Super Smooth Quickdry Keratin topcoat.

Things that leave one wanting more include gorgeous holos in the dead of winter.  The best I could do was lightbox photos for these two beauties and I seriously cannot wait to wear them come summer.  This sparkling plum/boysenberry linear holo, Blitzen's Budgie Smuggler, is from the A Very Merry Aussie Christmas collection.  It's undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous holos I've had the pleasure of laying my eyes on.  I used two coats plus one layer of GlitterDaze Super Smooth Quickdry Keratin topcoat.

Reaper Crew is from the Sons of Anarchy collection.  It's another absolute stunner, a dark, ambiguously blue-black linear holo and my GOSH why can't it be bright and sunny in the PNW right now?!!  This is two easy coats plus one layer of GlitterDaze Super Smooth Quickdry Keratin topcoat.

I can honestly say I have not met a Celestial I didn't like.  Nicki's got her formula down across the board and these three apply beautifully, as always.

Celestial Cosmetics polishes are available internationally through Color4Nails for $12 each.

By the way, if you're spending a quiet day in today, head over to my facebook page and check out some of my favorite etailers/indies/bloggers.  There's a big ol' blogger/indie/etailer #sharefest happening this weekend, as started by indie maker NailNation 3000 and I'm loving being a part of it.  I'll be posting a few more faves before I head to work this morning, so go check it out!!  Thank you for reading and enjoy your Sunday ♥♥

  3. that dark berry is just lovely. i've been skipping out on all my most favorite holos lately with the lack of any real sun on the east coast, too - you're braver than me!

    1. I wouldn't call it bravery, lol. Some do better out of direct sunlight than others, though ;)

  4. Reaper Crew!! Holy macaroli. What a beautiful polish. Chrome Amaranth is so unusual...I adore it. <3 Sometimes I don't honestly know how people keep coming up with new and different things, then I see something like this and amazes me. And of course it goes without saying that I love a plummy holo. But I'll say it anyway: I LOVE that plum holo!! :D

    1. I know it! That's what makes certain brands stand out...it is awesome to see unique polishes with the market this saturated, and even better to see them done in an ethical manner.

    1. YES. And amazing, if you ask me, that creating unique holos is still possible.

  10. I get Celestial from Color4Nails here in the U.S., but they don't have the SoA colors :-( I hope they'll get here someday, 'cause Reaper Crew is gorgeous. Your Chrome Amaranth swatch looks soooo much better than others I've seen. It's not the first time I've noticed you have a fabulous touch with unusual textures!

    1. Oh my gosh, Sadie, what a lovely thing to say! Thank you so much :) :) I'm trying to find out when SoA will be in stock again... Sisi posts regular updates on the C4N fb so chech that frequently is the best I can say at this point :)

    2. I couldn't stand it - I emailed C4N and asked. Sisi says mid-February!

    3. I emailed her, too, and she got back to me when I was at work. Glad you got your answer!
