OPI How Great Is Your Dane? + My Voice Is a Little Norse

Hi everyone!!  I've got the last of my OPI Nordic mini collection on my nails today, and I'll just let the company's delectable description of this one lead the way.

How Great Is Your Dane? is described as a cinnamon coffee and I'll admit that the power of suggestion has me sold, even if it doesn't feel altogether accurate.  Cinnamon gives me a sense that there should be some sort of red undercurrent here but it's pretty much a straightforward dark toned mushroom shade, an updated version of OPI You Don't Know Jacques {HERE}.  How Great Is Your Dane? is a creme that leans a little thin-- I used two coats but patchiness tells me I should have gone with three.  Finished with one layer of topcoat.

My Voice Is a Little Norse is this season's glitter topper and most current iteration of the silver glitter/scattered holo mix OPI seems to be enjoying so much lately.  It's a lot silver and a small smattering of holo, really pretty and quite delicate, as far as this kind of topper goes.  It's also really gritty and one layer of topcoat is barely satisfactory.

How Great Is Your Dane?  is my least favorite from the mini set but I think I'll appreciate it more as the weather cools.  Today's supposed to be in the 90s again, lol.  What's up with your weekend?  I've spent the better part of the morning fighting with the new iphone update and I'm ready to chuck this thing into the dark ages (along with whoever engineered this update, lolol).

Thank you for reading and have a better day ;) ♥

  2. I quite like How Great Is Your Dane, despite it being brown and I'm not a fan of browns! And it looks really good with the glitter :-)

    1. I'm with you on browns, Ananka, and I try, I really do! lol. I think the taupiness of this one makes it more tolerable, lol, and the glitter certainly does help :)

  3. I wasn't too crazy about this polish...UNTIL I saw your combo. Wow...this looks fantastic!! I find I'm not generally drawn to browns like this one, but maybe I oughta throw some glitta on them. :D

    1. Why thank you, Mo! I'm not drawn to them, either, but after your statement, I really want to throw some holo over a couple of my dark brown Zoyas.
