Hi everyone!! Glam Polish creator Rachel has been a busy little bee, churning out one amazing set after another. I've got three polishes to show you all today, two from specialty collections and one core line.
First up is the core line polish, Aquanaut. Aquanaut is a super fun glitter topper just begging to be made into a jelly sandwich. I'm showing it over OPI Don't Touch My Tutu and under a thick, clear topcoat to fully demonstrate the complete and utter cuteness of this one, but even with just the clear topcoat, this one still gives the illusion of free floating glitters. This polish is lavender, fuschia, and satiny silver squares and hexes and large satiny silver stars and butterflies in a clear base. The stars and butterflies are wonderfully abundant and come out of the bottle with ease. I used one coat of Aquanaut.
Graveyard Smash! is from this Halloween's Graveyard Ghouls trio. Graveyard Smash! is fun and bright, filled with matte red hexes and circles, metallic green and purple hexes and circles, and satiny lavender stars in a clear base. I used one coat over a-England Camelot, plus one layer of topcoat.
From the moment I set eyes on this one, though, all I really wanted to do was mattify it. It looks freakin' cool either way.
Evanora is from the Touch of Magic trio and hands down my favorite Glam Polish thus far. This thing is gorgeous. Named for the Wicked Witch of the East as interpreted in this spring's movie Oz the Great and Powerful, Evanora is an emerald green jelly based scattered holo with monochromatic hexes and diamonds that flash gold and cerulean. I used two coats.
In summary, the formulas of Aquanaut and Graveyard Smash! are better than average when it comes to chunky glitter application. This combined with their well behaved nature and uniqueness in a super saturated indie industry give me reason to think Rachel deserves some sort of Master of Glitters award. Evanora is as beautiful to wear and carefree to apply as any polish, and I'm stoked to see this talented gal go in a different direction. I'm excited to see what the future holds for Glam Polish.
Glam Polish is Aussie-based but available internationally through Color4Nails.com for $12 each.
