Hi everyone!! I really started to dig Texas-based indie GlitterDaze after my experience with Rainbow Bridge (full post here). Creator Sana had recently released her winter collection, one of six appropriately themed linear holos, and I immediately fell in love with two completely cozy looking shades and had to have them.
First up is Sparkling Snowball Fight, a dove grey with a soft holo effect. I LOVE grey polish, and this is my only grey holo. I like to trick myself into believing the lighter shades look nice on me, lol. Two coats, plus HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat.
I adore nude holos and Fuzzy Socks & Slippers is a gorgeous one, medium strength, silky, and ever so slightly blushed. I used two coats (could've gone with three, as this one's a little sheer) and one coat of GlitterDaze Quick Dry Keratin topcoat.
Cutting to the chase, the formulas on both are impeccable, and the finishes absolutely lovely in winter weather (read minimal natural sunlight). The brush is flat and wide and easily maneuverable. This is a nice brand, kids, and if you haven't tried any I highly recommend it. I should also mention the homemade chocolate heart included in my order... pretty polish and dessert, what a fabulous combo! GlitterDaze ships directly to US addresses only, but is available internationally through Le Doux Nuage and Mei Mei Signatures. Check them out here.
Thank you for reading and have a mahhhhvelous day!! ♥
These are stunning! What great holos :)
ReplyDeleteThey really are ♥♥ Thanks Lisa :)
DeleteYou're right, that grey is FAN-CY. I've never seen grey snow (well, I've never seen snow at all), but I'll probably stick to playing with it on my nails if it's really that color.
ReplyDeleteSnow is generally not this color right off the bat but indeed, if you happen upon some this color, you'd do well to leave it alone :D I hope you get so see some for really real some day! It is fantastic stuff, in small doses.
Deletethose look divine!! i can't pick a fave.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I couldn't, either, of these two. Had to have 'em both, lol :D
DeleteThose two are jaw droppers!!! That grey is indeed divine and my eyeballs seem to be drawn again and again to Fuzzy Socks & Slippers, I just love nude holos!!! Beautiful sis xxx - oh and I see you got your nailshape back ;-) bet there is one happy camper there!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know it!! I broke a corner (stoopid squares) and I was all, "Look, I broke one!" to C. I'd already filed that corner. C said, "Oh no!" and I responded, "No, it's a good thing. I get my points back!" I was actually waiting for them to grow out a little bit more before I filed again but there it is, lol :)
DeleteWhy do you doubt that you look good in lighter shades?? These both look beautiful on you, especially Fuzzy Socks & Slippers! It looks like your electric mannequin hands shade! :D I'm not a huge lover of grey, but Sparkling Snowball Fight is just gorgeous and makes me want cocoa and a grilled cheese sandwich. <3
ReplyDeleteElectric mannequin hands shade, I like it! I've always liked to say that if my fingertips were to emit the holo rainbow, this is what it'd look like. Lighter greys just tend to make me look a little corpse-like. This one's infinitely better than OPI Care To Danse, though.
DeleteBoth of these are hands down cozy, especially Sparkling Snowball Fight. I love dove grays, especially ones that lean towards a gorgeous blue and that one is magical in it's own right. Fuzzy Socks and Slippers is so pretty and I agree with Melissa, both of these look like they were crafted for you, especially with the points!! They just make the polish 1000 times better! I have to be honest with you, I've never been a fan of the points but seeing them on you really makes me want the wild hair to try them out myself!! I absolutely love them on you!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou should go for it! It's kinda scary to go out on such a limb but starting short is fairly noncommittal and not terribly shocking, lol. I was afraid I'd get some not overly constructive feedback on them but the nice thing about being small is the ability to get away with more without causing an uproar, lol. I think you'd rock points, Dani ♥
DeleteI can't say I'm too big on greys (I'm getting there, slowly but surely!!) but I love the second one!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think grey polish is sort of an acquired taste, especially the lighter, harder to wear shades. Holo makes everything more fun, though (as you well know!! ♥), and if you're looking for a gateway grey, I highly suggest this one ;D
DeleteI totally love grey polish too...so Sparkling Snowball Fight is right up my alley! Love it.
ReplyDeleteYep, I thought of you immediately :)
