WetnWild Fantasy Makers 2014 (partial)

WetnWild Fantasy Makers 2014

October is here!! To kick off one of my favorite months in the year, I'm sharing some swatches of this year's WetnWild Fantasy Makers nail polishes (I've had them since the end of August... these things come out earlier and earlier, I tell ya!).  I chose two of the collection of five, but before I start in on the colors, the repackaging is worth mentioning.  They're still the cute little tombstone shape, but instead of the mottled grey headstone emblazoned with "R.I.P.", the cap is a satin finish black printed with little silver skulls (links to previous collection picks at the end of the post).  These bottles kind of look like Darth Vader with a new wardrobe.

On to the colors.  This year's set contains a pink, which is an odd Halloween choice, to me.  It fits nicely with the rest of the collection, though, which is brighter than those of years past.  I bought it for the name.  It's called Ghouls Rush In, the name of last year's bright orange.  Like last year's iteration, this one dries to a rubberized finish.  It's opaque in two coats.  Great formula-- no complaints here!

My second Fantasy Makers choice is Roach Busters, a yellow green packed with shimmer-- golden, with hints of light blue and pink strewn throughout.  This one is freakin' awesome.  It's perfect in two easy coats and positively glows on the nail.  The name combined with the color make this a creepy gorgeous polish.  I'll let your imagination do its thing.

The WetnWild Fantasy Makers collection is available for sale where WetnWild products are sold.  I found mine at Fred Meyer.  I've seen them at Rite Aid and Walgreens-- they all should still be very readily available.  Polishes retail for $1.99 each.

As promised, or threatened, lolol, here are links to my previous Fantasy Makers posts (and bottle shots with the old design).

Thank you for reading and have a lovely first of October!! ♥♥

    1. Totally with you on both. Maybe the pink is to be meant for art? In that case, it's totally lost on me :D

    1. I agree. The only reason I picked up the pink was because it bears the same name as last year's orange jelly, lol. It is a pretty one, though :)

    1. Like another Fantasy Makers? Or another WetnWild? My first thought was a prettier version of Zoya Midori. You've got me super curious now!

    2. Roach Busters reminds me a bit of Cult Nails Deal With It, though maybe a bit lighter.

    1. Aren't they adorable? I *almost* want to play around with my older Fantasy Makers and do some skittles manis but the thought of trying to do art gives me an eye twitch, lol.

    1. I'm pleasantly surprised by both, too. I thought the pink would be super sheer and I don't know what I was expecting out of the green, lol.

  15. I like the idea of a pink with a rubberized finish, so I would pick it up for that-- otherwise, it's a very odd choice for Halloween. BUT THAT GREEN!!! Holy cramoly, that's freaking fabulous. So glowy!!

    1. It's actually a nice, inexpensive alternative to Butter London Cake-hole; not exactly the same shade of pink, but same finish and like, $13 cheaper, lol. But yeah, still no Halloween connection! Roach Busters is so darned awesome!!

    1. It should still be fairly easy to find. And you're right, it would make a super cool summer pedi!

  19. Oh my goodness, that green is AMAZING!! It's bold enough to be a summer shade, but one can still get away with wearing it in October by calling it a Halloween polish hehe. That is genius! I've got to track this down. :D

    1. You're absolutely right and it's all part of what makes Halloween so much fun in the first place-- wearing things beyond the norm :) Kinda makes me want to go points again just so I can wear this with them :)
