It's Wednesday eve again, and time again to Go Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.
I couldn't let the month or the event pass without bringing out my very favorite pink, Butter London Snog. Because I felt like jazzing it up, and because it's just so much fun to see what flakies look like over different bases, I thought I'd play around with my awesome Essence Night in Vegas topper some more.
Snog's the most beautiful, creamy, elegant bright pink ever, and I think the flakies look pretty neat over it (notice how I couldn't fully commit to it, though... I did accents only on both hands, lol). They give this sunny (yes, it is a sunny little pink), springy color a kind of fall sunset-like glow. I used two coats of Snog, one coat of Essence Night in Vegas on my accent nails, and Out The Door topcoat over everything.
This is lovely. Great pink!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara! It is an awesome pink <3
DeleteThese two look great together!! I love that Essence, I wish that brand was more readily available in the US :p
ReplyDeleteMe, too, Kelly. I'll be saaad when I run myself out of this flakie.
DeleteIt's so cool I never tried a flakie over a bright pink like this
ReplyDeleteI've been having fun trying it over different colors... some it works better on than others. ;)
Deletegreat pink and lovely layering.xx
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteLovely layering!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteSnog looks so shiny and pretty. I love it. I also like how you did the two accent nails:) That's like your signature!
ReplyDeleteHaha, it's like going full on is just TOO MUCH!! lol. And I don't know why those two fingers, always... it just looks more "grown up" to me, I guess.
Delete<3 Yes!! Snog's awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove it, they both look good!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cee :)
DeleteThis is stunning with the flakies. Pinks look so good on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, C! :)
DeleteAhhh, I think I need BL Snog! What a pretty color...I'm so drawn to this shade of pink. And I love the flakies over it too. It reminds me of Deborah Lippmann Sweet Dreams!
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow pink lover, I can't believe you don't own this already, lol. You need it! ;)
DeleteBoth ways look beautiful--Snog by itself and also with a flakie top coat! :-)
ReplyDelete~ Yun
I thought the flakies looked pretty nifty over it! Glad you like it <3
DeleteThis looks great both ways, with the flakies and without. So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too :) Sometimes a color's just too pretty to ruin. ;)
DeleteToday I also used a bright pink with a flakie top coat. Love yours! Come check mine!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that we had the same idea :)
DeleteI have the BL Lippy in this color, which I love, but the nail color is awesome! And the flakie topcoat over it is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOhh,yes, I love the lippy, too! I keep thinking I need to work that into Pink Wednesdays, too, but time's running out, lol.
