An Unexpected Comfort Color

It's been a bit of a rough weekend and I've been a little bummed about things, so I stopped in to my local Ulta yesterday thinking I'd treat myself to something.  I initially went in to check out the Zoya spring collection, but nothing really spoke to me (I'm a little on the fence about Tru, though; I'm just not huge on purples.)  Zoyas from past lines are very slowly starting to trickle their way in, though, one of them being Edyta.  The pictures I've seen of Edyta didn't sell me, but the real life color sure did.  (So here are some more pictures that won't do it justice. lol.)

It's a dark hunter green with green, gold, and copper shimmer.  Just beautiful.  I'm officially sold on Zoya's formula, too-- it makes it easier for someone like me, with a not so steady hand, to do a decent job with minimal cleanup.

Ouchie.  Even with photoshop.

I just can't bear to file my index finger to match the other two.  Honestly, it'll break soon enough.

This pretty color was a total pick-me-up.  I tend to gravitate towards jewel-tone darks, and I'm so glad this color was there.  I never would have bought it if I hadn't seen it in real life.  And, I think this is the best paint job I've done yet (no small feat... lol.)

I might just have to buck up and get myself Zoya's topcoat.  I used Seche Vite, and I had tip shrinkage as I slept.  I knew I had some crazy dreams last night....
